not if everyone speaks francais. The "s" is silent because the letter following is a consonant.

If anyone goes the Jacqueslyn route, I'd recommend hyphenating it. Jacques-Lynn or something of the like. It's a bit odd to begin with.

That's why people who don't understand another language's phonetics rules shouldn't try to make up names using those rules.

And it would be pronounced with an "s" unless it was two seperate words. Some examples: geste, distinguer, scenique, squelette.

Now I understand.

I was hyphenating it in my mind, so I read the s as silent.
