Naming a sibling...

My son's name is Cannon, and my husband and I are discussing names for future children that go with Cannon. Cannon isn't a common name, so we would like another boy's name that isn't common either (but not too far out there although he probably wouldn't mind). He suggested Park and all I can think of when I hear that name is an actual park. It was vetoed. I just can't think of anything that would work. Any suggestions?

For girls, it will definitely be more "normal" since I actually get to pick it. Right now I am stuck on Lila.

There was an interview with Larry King and his wife on tv. Their son's names are Chance (I think) and Cannon. I got that name in my head, and then suggested it to my husband when another girl on livejournal name her child that. He loved it, and when we found out we were having a boy it stuck. I thought it was a little out there, but he wouldn't budge. It seems to fit our son though.

Cannon Beach is a really famous and popular beach here in Oregon so it makes me think of that. And so as a sibling name, I want to suggest another kind of nature name, or name from a national park or something... (probably especially because you mentioned Park.)

Looking up synonyms for park brought up the word forest, and in synonyms for the word forest was the word chase, which I've heard used as a name, and then in synonyms for chase there was the word hunt...so maybe Forest, or Chase, or Hunter?

I once knew a girl named Kyle who had a sister named Canon, so those two seem like logical sibling names due to that association of mine.

In the same vein, how about Cole or Cale?

Or... if you want to kind of go the similar to Park/Parker route, Porter or Preston?

in truth, I don't care for any of those names too much except Kyle & Cole so maybe I'm not much help. :/
