Apr. 6th, 2005 03:32 pmMy husband and I aren't looking to have children very soon, but we've had discussions on names in the past. Yesterday we stumbled upon the name we'll use if we have a girl. Tatyana Elena. It sort of goes along with my ethnic background, which is nice because a boy would be named by my husband's English naming traditions. It's not going to be as strict as it used to be, but he wants to use the basics.
Our boy will have to have 2 middle names. They have to be quite 'formal' English names, all three of them. The names have to flow together as well. But I don't want something very common for the first name. We also don't want anything that can be shortened easily, because the name we're giving our child is the name we want them to actually use. I've gone through so many lists of baby names and have found some names that I'd be ok with for a first name, and other names that could be used in combination for the middle names as well. But I'm really open to suggestions!!
First names:
Kent
Adrian
Vaughn
Heath
Brent
Everett
Owen
Other names:
Montgomery
Rowan
Sterling
Preston
Oakley
Weston
Wesley
Emerson
Jameson
Landen
Bradley
It's hard because so many of the names have -en as and end sound or -ey. And when you put two of the same together it just doesn't work well. And the first names can be used as middle names if they work together.
Now that we have a name for a girl I feel like I have to find a name for a boy. This three name thing is so hard. Any suggestions on more English names is greatly appreciated, as well as any combinations you can come up with!
