Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel was born Wednesday at 5:01 p.m. in Los Angeles. "He is healthy, beautiful and looks just like his mother," according to the post signed by Seal.

it is kind of long, but samuel is seal's last name. i think johan is in reference to heidi's heritage, i don't know.

It's a bit of a crazy name: a bit of Germanic, a bit of 'trendy', something Russian (I wonder if one of them has been reading Dostoyevsky) and then something that looks as if it might be African.

Couldn't they just have stuck with Johan Samuel? Riley, Fyodor, and Taiwo next to each other just makes me laugh. Anyway, Riley is a terrible name for a person. Great name for a dog, though.

Oh, I know. It's just that I've been doing some thinking and I've decided I don't like middle names, and particularly not more than one. I like simplicity in naming.

If I had to pick one, I'd pick Taiwo... Johan Taiwo Samuel sounds pretty neat.

I'm another fan of this name. Henry also has a bunch of middle names, though I can't remember what they all are, at the moment.

Then again...I may not be one to judge on long names, considering the fact that if my first born is a girl, she will have five names (a two-part first name - eleven letters long, and hyphenated, a 9 letter middle name, and a two-part, 10-letter last name).
