[identity profile] mirisa-ardruna.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Upon scanning the local paper's obituaries the other day, I came across this name: Remembrance Faith Dowd. This was a 90-something woman, so I realize this is a roughly Victorian-era name from the rural Midwest, according to her obituary, but my initial reaction was something like "Remembrance? What kind of a name is THAT?!" Of course, it probably comes from the same school of thought that gives us names like Prudence (which I also don't care much for). Thoughts?
