There's a Russian girl in my class named Marcella. I'm trying to decide if I like it in general or if it only works on her. WDYT?

It was my great-aunt's name, so I don't have a great mental image to go with that name. I never liked her. Not that there was anything wrong with her, but she died when I was a kid, and as a kid I didn't like many adults. She was loud, shrill and kinda scary-looking, and that's all I remember.

So I might like the name if not for that, but I'm really not sure.

I like it! Marcie is cute as a name, too, and could (obviously) be a nn for it.

I work with a girl named Marcela, she's Colombian. She's really cute so I thought maybe I just liked the name because of her too. But actually, I realized that I do like the name (with just one L) a lot and am considering using it someday ; )

I lovelovelove Marcela. Not into the double l thing because I think -y sound first (I speak Spanish).
