Annemarie

Anne-Marie

AnneMarie

or

Anne Marie

?

I really like this name but none of these look right to me. I'm not pregnant or TTC, but
I'm seriously thinking of using this name in the future. Oh, and I wouldn't spell it Ann because my mom's name is Anne and I'd do it partly to honor her.

the last one doesn't feel right because i wouldn't want people thinking Anne is her first name and Marie her middle name. but the others don't feel quite right either!!

WDYT?

Anne-Marie.

AnneMarie is wrong. There should not be capital letters in the middle of a name.

Anything's possible. People name their kids Myckynzi and Yu'Neeq. Doesn't mean it's spelled right or should be done.

Actually, rules of spelling and grammar have nothing to do with what I like or don't like.

Sure, names are "subjective." You can do whatever you want. You can name your kid Twolyppe or Djoe'Zeff if you like. I don't care. But that doesn't mean it's spelled correctly.

You and [livejournal.com profile] sarahrose would get along well.

I don't like the hyphen at all. I like Anne Marie the best. I used to work with a lady named Anne Marie (no hyphen) and I never thought Marie was her middle name. Anne Marie is common enough that I don't think there will be any confusion.

I wouldn't put a capital letter in the middle of a name.

And for some reason this reminds me of a girl I went to highschool with who was named Annerose, pronounced "Annie Rose" just strung together. I've liked it since then, and this is nice too.

I just met/know an Ann Marie recently. That's how she spells it. Ann Marie.

I like it Ann-Marite, though I usually don't like Ann without an E.

I'm sorry I don't like using Anne as the spelling, although I think the reason why you would use Anne is wonderful. I have a co-worker who spells her name Annmarie. No extra capitals, and no hypens.

In my country (holland) its just Annemarie like Annelies & Annemieke. I have never heard of AnneMarie glued together with capitals:\

I normally detest hyphens, but this is one name that makes it work. Anne-Marie would be very nice.

Annemarie and Anne-Marie are equally good to me depending on your opinion of hyphens, but the other two are confusing. Or you could spell it like my middle name, Maree :p

Annemaree, Anne-Maree.. meh, actually I don't really see any difference between Marie and Maree even though my spelling is Maree.

Anne-Marie if you want her to be called both, I think. Running them together looks funny.

I love Anne-Marie, it reminds me of the character from All Dogs Go To Heaven.
