My boyfriend and I have been thinking about naming our future children after our grandparents, parents, or other relatives. The names we would like to use are the following:

Amelia (my great-great-great grandmother)
Vivian (my maternal grandma)
Helen (my paternal grandma)
Tamara (my mom)
Fern (my boyfriend's maternal grandma)
Diane (my boyfriend's mom)


Robert (my maternal grandpa and also my godfather)
Joseph (my paternal grandpa and also my older brother)
Thomas (my boyfriend's maternal grandpa)


My boyfriend doesn't really speak to his paternal side so we're not using those names.
The ones we would like to use the most are Thomas, Amelia and Vivian. I'm not sure if we'd use them for first names or middle names. What do you guys think?

Amelia is definitely one of my favorites. It probably would be even if it didn't have significance for me.

Thomas and Amelia would work as first or middle names and Vivian would probably be better as a middle name.

How about Amelia Jane, Ameila Grace, Amelia Rose. :) Or Thomas Arthur, Thomas Gage, Thomas Ryan?

What do you think of Thomas Matthew? Matthew is my boyfriend's middle name so that might be neat.

I think they're unique enough. I like more classic names anyway.

I like Amelia and Fern for girls a lot a lot.
I like Joseph and Thomas for boys.

Have you thought about like Thomas James. How about Amelia Isabell. Just throwing some ideas out there. :)
