Finn is a first name, technically the Gaelic spelling is Fionn. Morrissey is after the singer, and yes, I know it's his last name but we like it lol. I don't mind Finn Patrick - Patrick runs in our family and we liked it as a second name for Morgan anyway.

Just my opinion, but I dont like Peggy at all..I hate to relate names to other things, but all I can think of is the redhead from Married With Children.

My best friend is due next month, and she's naming her daughter Gwendolyn! So I'm biased on that name. I don't really like Morgan on a boy or a girl, but I definitely support Finn. Peggy is cute, and not very common anymore.

finn morrissey is pretty gruesome. two surnames as a first and middle? brutal. finn can pass as a first name but i'd pair it with something else. love the girls names though!

Isnt Peggy the nn for Margaret?

Yeah it is, but my SO HATES Margaret (and already has three aunts called Margaret) but likes Peggy. I would prefer Margaret myself.

My only comment would be that the -yn ending in Welsh names is masculine - Gwendolen would be the feminine spelling.

Thanks, I didn't know why there was a difference between the spellings. I've seen 'Gwendolenne' as well, I'm guess it's a French version? I think that the -enne ending is a bit over the top though.

I like Finn, Patrick and Rose. The rest aren't my style.

I like Finn Morrissey because I love Morrissey but I like Finn Patrick better, as another commenter suggested, and it could still be in honour of Morrissey.
I like Gwendolen Rose (with an e) and I like Mathilda spelled with an H.

I think I like Mathilda with a H better too.

I think that all of them are quite nice, except Peggy. I'm also not a huge fan of Finn because it reminds me of the word "fin", but as I commented in a recent post, I just have a personal preference against names that sound like words, but I don't think anything is really wrong with them. Maybe Peggy reminds me of pegs, haha. Gwendolyn Rose is very pretty.

I really like them all, except Peggy. I think Finn Morrisey is cool. Who cares if they're surnames. LOTS of names are surnames -- Ashley, Aaron, Parker, Logan, Morgan, Mackenzie. All surnames.

They're all basically nice and normal, which means you can't go wrong with any of them, even if Peggy and Mathilda are kind of old-fashioned sounding. (Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams's kid's named Matilda Rose.)

I want to like Finn Morrissey, but it does sound like a bit much. I like Fionn Patrick best. Morgan Patrick is nice also.

Gwendolyn Rose is pretty, though I am becoming more aware of the -yn vs. -en thing, so I would recommend Gwendolen. I was almost a Gwenevere, but I'm a Rose instead. Interesting!

Peggy is awful. Mat(h)ilda is sweet. I like Mathilda Clare.

I don't care for Finn Or Morrissey..

But Love Morgan Patrick (tho these days I think of morgan more for a girl then a boy.. *shurg*)
