[identity profile] springtide-hfa.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

My 5 year old sister had a friend spend the night on Saturday. Her name was Mikennady.
Need I say more?

Poor kid. I don't think I could respond without at least smirking.

I guess one parent really wanted Mikayla and the other wanted Kennedy so they thought it'd be smart to smush them together. LoL I am ALL FOR different/unique names, but that's pushing it.

lmfao. I think it'd be more like "Ooh that's cute! I'd spell it MaKynnydi though, I think"

Haha I find that name really funny!

As if McKenna and Kennedy weren't both trendy enough... this really sounds like a joke someone on this community would be using when paying out trendy names, not something that a real person would have actually decided to use!

I wouldn't use it, but it's not so bad to me. There are worse names that have been created or used recently. I would prefer Mikennedy though.

It's too long/hard to spit out.

My mom had three daughters with "M" names. So when she would call for us, she would say, "MMMMMM Mel...mi...mae" and then finally spit out the name she wanted to say. Saying this name sounds like someone trying to say Kennedy but thinking about someone else while doing so.

I know a little girl, gorgeous thing, called Mackadi or M'Kadi (can't quite remember how they spell it)

She has a baby brother called Tom Jackson.

Some parents are very out of the loop with pairing names!

All I see is "Mike 'N Andy" even though it's not spelled like that, haha.

Aww the thought of five year olds having a sleepover is adorable. The name Mikennady however is not.
