Date: 2006-11-13 04:26 am (UTC)giselle is actually my first name and whenever people ask what my name is and i tell them, i always get comments like "well that's a pretty name". the only problem i've ever had with it is that sometimes people can't pronounce or spell it, but otherwise it's alright. although i do think it sounds a bit too frilly and poodle-like so mostly i go by elly, which is a nice watered-down nickname that doesn't make me sound like i think i'm at the top of the world. some of my friends call me "gis" but it sounds too much like jizz so i don't like it that much. my friend marc calls me "gigi" which is cute but i wouldn't like everyone calling me that so it's just elly really.
and miranda reminds me of lizzie mcguire haha.

Date: 2006-11-13 05:16 am (UTC)Hate Miranda, reminds me of 'Serenity'. Miranda was a planet that the government put a calming agent into the air (to weed out aggression) and it made the people just stop doing everything and they died. But in a tenth of a percent of the population the people turned SUPER aggressive and were called Reavers. Reavers will rape you to death, eat your flesh and sew your skin into their clothes. And if you are very lucky they will do it in that order.

3) The "mom" character from Robin Williams "Mrs.Doubtfire" movie, hah!
Giselle reminds me of the beauty school in my area.
