Bonjour All ;) I'm 18 weeks - 4 days pregnant. From my sonogram today they gave me a wishy-washy its a girl, I'll know for sure in about 4 more weeks. I've been pondering names for ages now - and I'd love some feedback, as well as suggestions...

Girls:
Karma
Sadie
Kailani (Hawaiian for Sea & Sky, Kai for short)
Magdelena

Boys:
Zen
Daemon

Beyond this..I'm stumped. I have searched since 3 weeks into the pregnancy, and in lieu of my buddhist practices, vegitarian lifestyle, poetic nature and animal activist on-goings, I simply can not settle with an average and common name. Any help would be abso-freaking-loutly helpful. Gracias - and congrats to all the pregnant bellies out there. :) -xoxo-

Zen is definatly m'favorite boys name, do you think it could be uni-sex? Mebbe Zenna...but that would kind of take away from it..

Mauka means "towards the mountain"

Karma is cute but i think it would look less 'naming your child after what-goes-around-comes-around' and more classic if you spelled it "Carma"...just an opinion

i love Magdelena but i prefer Magdelene.

Karma- I tend to think "bad karma" when I hear it.
Sadie- I love it, I want to name my daughter Mercedes so I can nick name her Cede or Sayde. :)

What my husband and I started to do was look at all sorts of names like in greek mythology books, exotic baby name books and even the bible. We ended up with the name Isis Arianna which together means Holy Supreme Goddess of the stars and life. We had different names on our list like: Rhapsody,Dreama,Angelina,Sonnet,Belladonna,Isabella,Phoenix, Aria, Amelia, Arianna,Damaris, Alexia and Gianna. there were others but I can't find the full list.

And for boys we had: Alexavier, Anakin(the husband is a starwars freak!), Augustin, Ambrose, Hayden Maximilian, Sebastian, Cameron, Aiden, Dominick,Ulric and Mason. I can't find this full list either. Sorry.

You know "Daemon" is not pronounced like Damon but like Demon, right? It's the English spelling of Demon.
