I don't actually like this name, no matter the version. But I think it should be spelled the original way.
Actually, scratch that, I do kinda like it if it's pronounced the Hebrew way CIE-een (at least that's the way my Rabbi says it)

I don't know why someone would want to name their kid after the first murderer.
I suppose non-Jewish/Christian/Muslim people might not care about the connotations but still it's where the name comes from. And I don't know of alot of other famous Cains that could give it a more positive association.

Oh yuck, none. Cain if I absolutely had to pick, but between the "stick that helps you walk/hit people" and the "world's first murderer" thing... I can't see the appeal, no matter what the spelling.

I'm with this. I would never use it, or even think of using it, but at least "world's first murderer" is a name, as opposed to just a thing, or worse, a misspelled thing...

I picked Kayne because I liked Kayne from Project Runway. I would never use it either though, because of the Biblical reference.

If someone said, "how do you spell the name ____" I would spell it Cain.
