Arwen sounds kind of girly to me, and Elden/Eldon, though I like it, sounds really old to me. I think I like Elden better than Eldon. I think.

if you name a boy Arwen, he'll kill himiself the first time he reads LOTR. or maybe the first time he sees it, since Arwen is hardly mentioned in the books...

plus male or female, it is kind of an ugly name, like Arden.

Elden reminds me too much of the character "Elton" in Clueless. Arwen is way too LotR and girly.

Elden isn't really my taste at all. Arwen's a girl's name from LotR, and I think that's popular enough that it would be a problem for him.

I have a friend named Elwyn, which is a Welsh male name with a similar feel -- does that do anything for you?
