i am really struggling to come up with any suggestions on names, can anyone advise a good baby names site to look through cause im getting so frustrated...

i do love both Isla and Ayla (i see how they are pronounced differently now), they go perfect with Turkozu but my partner hates it. Im at my witts end, he hates everything i suggest and likes really common names like, Leah, Naomi, Jane (i mean jane? what the hell?). I want something unusual and pretty and its driving me insane that we hate each others suggestions.

i love Tegan also but he hates that too. i feel like pulling my hair out in anger cause its such a difficult process....

I've never been a huge fan of the name Naomi but I agree with this comment - it does seem to flow well with the last name. It's not that common either I don't think. I only recall ever meeting a couple of Naomis.

I think Jane is one of the best names ever. Jane Austen, Jane Eyre, Lady Jane Grey, Jane Seymour, Jayne Mansfield. It has a whole slew of nicknames (Janie, Jenny, Janet) and it will never go out of style. Best yet: it isn't popular anymore!

Isla Jane Turkozu has a ring to it. Why not compromise?

Also: I hate Ayla. I think it looks wishy-washy.

If it comes down to the end, you could always pick the first name & he pick the middle name or vice versa?

I don't really like either Isla or Ayla, but I think Ayla is cuter.

When are you due? If you have awhile I'd just give it some time. Maybe they'll grow on him.

I like both Isla and Ayla. I also like Jane a lot (which I really don't find that common, I've only known one in my life - but I don't know about England where I think you are.) Naomi is pretty, but I don't so much like it with that last name for some reason.

You should both make a list of names you like. trade and cross of the names you dispise and keep the tolerable ones and the ones you like. put those shortened lists together and talk about why you kept the ones you did.

Leah, Naomi and Jane all seem common but if you look at statistics, they really aren't. Your partner has classy taste in names.

Ayla doesn't seem like a real name to me.

I'd suggest looking up some "old" roman/english names since you're looking for unusual and they want something established. Or maybe greek names like Ariadne.

In this day and age, Jane IS unusual and pretty. What about Eliza? Has the same feeling as Isla but is more classic for your SO. Or something like Nila, Mila, Lyra...

anyway, I adore Jane, haha. It's on my middle name list.

and speaking of Jane, how about Adele? (Adelle or Adella) She's a little girl in the book Jane Eyre, lol.
