So late last night I somehow got sucked into watching an episode of Parental Control on MTV. Ha.
Anyway, the guy that was on it was named Paige. Paige used as a guy's name?? Totally bizarre to me. Also, one of the girls that his parents picked for him was named Johnette. Pronounced just as it looks, JOHN-ette. Both of these names really caught my attention because they're different. I personally don't like either.

Paige seems so odd as a guy's name. I like it as a girl's name though. If I were to name a boy Paige I would at least spell it Page so it looked different from the girl's name.

I know that "Page" (as in an "attendant") is a unisex name. Are you sure it wasn't spelt this way?

i had a friend in high school, his dad's name is Page. they're from down south, not sure if it's a regional thing?

Paige on a boy makes more sense than Paige on a girl, since Paige = Page as in apprentice to a knight.

Paige on a guy is quite weird because it's so often a girls' name, but I guess I'm not that much of a fan in general. Also, Johnette? That's just awful. Why not Jeanette? It's pronounced almost the same way, and if you were naming your daughter after a John, then it's fine, as Jean is the French for John. So yes. Bad name.
