More intials than names

What does everyone think about this name:

Brian Joseph Murtha

Now, what does everyone think of those initials: BJ(M) or BM.

I personally try to avoid initials like that, but my husband and I are thinking about this name, he really likes it and its quickly growing on me...in fact, the only thing holding me back is those intials!

The baby I'm pregnant with will have the initials BM. I don't think it matters.

We actually aren't sharing with anyone until he's born. :) Nothing personal!

i'm not a huge fan of the name, but if you and your husband like it, then use it! the initials aren't that bad. they could be a lot worse (ASS, FCK, FAG, SHT, POO, etc)

I don't think BJ is so bad on a boy- it's worse for a girl I think. And I don't think BM will get much attention at all.

I wouldn't let initials hold you back if you really love the name. =)

Our last name starts with M and we are steering away from all B names. Before I met my husband, I really liked Blair, Blythe and Brett!

I should add:

BM is the name my family used feces/poop/excrement/solid waste when I was growing up, so I see BM and that is the first thing I think... but I find most people don't use that term or make that connection... or even konw what BM means!

Also, I really like the name Brian Joseph!

haha... immature of me, but I find it funny how you felt the need to specify what you meant by listing every possible word for faeces :p

I had fun doing it! Let's face it, poop is funny shit!

The reason Erik is not names Benjamin is because I didn't want his going through life with BS as his initals.

I grew up [and dated] a Bradley James who went by BJ.
It really isn't a big deal unless you make it one.

I like that name. I know a Brian John, but never thought about it. It's not like other kids will really know your kid's middle name.

I don't think the BJ thing is too big of a deal. (I do agree with whomever said it's worse for a girl though) and I actually know a kid named Brian Joseph & it's never come up that those were his initials.

and I think the BM thing is even less obvious and will probably never be pointed out to the point of being bothersome.

I dont like Brian at all, Joseph is ace though.

Brian is an old mans name, it looks like Brian which makes me think geeky and then of an actual brani which is kinda gross!

I dont think you should use BJ!

I work at a long term care facility, so BM means only bowel movement to me. It's not that bad as long as he doesn't wind up in that field, though.

What about Joseph as the first name instead?
