I am not pregnant, but am getting clucky, so i am pouring over the internet looking at baby websites and whatnot. I've even started an online list of names i like! If i had a choice, i would want a baby girl, hence having a million girl names. I actually really love asexual names,like Dylan for example (thats both my brothers name and a female friends name) but am stumped to come up with many on my own. my husband likes anciant greek names, i would lvoe to clal a daughter Hecate, but wouldnt due to the bad "heathen witch" connotations".

Jordan is my favorite either-gender name. I just adore it.
How about Taylor or Alex? My best friend (male) is named Alex. Just Alex, not Alexander...

Kennedy :) thats what my baby is going to be called if she is a girl, but i beleive it's pretty universal.

Kennedy is a good one as well as Jordan. However I like Jordyn for a girl.

Darcy doesnt seem to be a unisex name to me... probablly because my daughters name is Darcie... but.

Ahh yes Kennedy i like, but only for a girl. i guess i want to mix it up a little, mess around with gender sterotyping. Courtney was traditionally a male name, but has since changed to a female name. I'd love to clal a boy Courtney but my husband would never allow that. pfft.

Darcy is a great unisex name. i have a male cat called Darcy,Theres Mr Darcy from pride and predjudice[ok so it's a last name there, but it still works] and then theres Darcy, the female bassist from Smashing Pumpkins.As far as i can tell, it works well for both sexes. Also, every darcy i have known has been very cheeky. Is your daughter a cheeky thing?

she was when she was born. Not so much now. Shes a tall little thing though.

I love the name Xander for a boy. It's one on my list for next time around.

Cadence (in your girl name list) is starting to become quite popular. But, it's still a beautiful name.

Isn't Cecil a male name? (It was my fiance's grandpa's name.) Unless you mean Cecille?

heh, yes cecil is a male name, but for soem reason it would be a lovely feminine name to me. I names my first guitar Cecil. guitars, like boats and cars, are generally feminine, and Cecil worked well. granted, a baby is not a guitar or a boat, so it may not work as well. but i guess i could always call her cecilia and nickname her cecil. tee hee.

xander and spike....Like buffy much *giggles*

i love Hecate. good name. don't worry about the connotations. maybe then people will leave her alone :) i like the name brujita (broo-heeta) which means little witch in spanish... <3

I love Madison but it's become SO common. :/ At my last office job, 3 of my 10 coworkers had daughters named Madison!

hehe, well actuallyi just love C names. It's probably because my name is Cassandra, so c names appeal to me.:)yeah madison is really common now, it's just so stylish now.

excuse me? do you live with your head in the sand? Spike Lee? Spike Milligan? Spike Jonze? It's only a name for a pet if you give your pet that name. I wasn't aware that this was a ratings community for baby names.

i wasn't asking for an opinion, i was asking for more suggestions to add to my list.i don't need approval from strangers as to what i name my child. you however replied in not a polite manner, but a very patronising manner.if you don't like a name, you should give real reasons as to why you don't think it's a good idea, notjust say "PLEASE don't name your child spike, it's a name for a pet."

Whoa. The rules are clear, if you want to share an opinion, do it respectfully. It looks to me like she did, I don't see a reason for getting so defensive. It's a baby name community, if you can't handle opinions on what you post, Don't Post.

the name that i like for both sexes is Morgan.

my favorite greek name for a girl is (I don't know if I'm spelling it right): Illiada [ill-e-ah-dah]. It just rolls off the tongue and sounds SO beautiful.
