What do you all think about the name Cassidy for a girl?

I like it, and I've never met anyone with the name. I've met Cassies and Cassandras but never a Cassidy.

My husband has a cousin who's daughter is named Cassidy. She's kind of an annoying brat so I personally don't like the name.

It's actually in the top 200 for girls in America. I'm not a fan of it to begin with, but with that many running around as it is, I'm not sure I'd go for it anyway.

I've known several Cassidy-s and Cassies-s in my life and never really liked them or the name.

One Cassie was in my class growing up. Her last name was Dinklage and we always called her Assie Tinklage and I just can't get rid of that association.

I like it--for me, it's a Grateful Dead reference, and I know lots of hippie kids (and dogs) named Cassidy, so I don't feel like I could use it myself.

I like the name a lot. Ive known two Cassidys both in the 2nd grade right now. They were both adorable little girls. The first is Cassidy Rose the second is Cassidy Jean.

It just makes me think of Cassidy on Veronica Mars who... ended up murdering nine of his classmates, raping one and then committing suicide. But I highly, HIGHLY doubt the show is well-known enough for that to be a problem IN THE LEAST. And also, I'm kind of a Veronica Mars fangirl.

In general, though, I don't like the name. Especially not for a girl. Cassandra is so much nicer!

my boyfriends daughter is named Cassidy, it's his babymama's mothers maiden name... i like it, though.
