What do you think of Iris?

I love the song. I also like the flower and the association with the eye, and the meaning-"rainbow" in Greek.
It is the name of Jodie Foster's character in Taxi Driver, an interesting character but perhaps not a positive association.

I love it.

But I'm in optometry so it's a little weird to use a name that is also a part of the eye. I really think more of the flower when I hear it, but still.

Sorta okay. I'd use it for a pet rather than a person.

It's a special song for myself and my boyfriend so we plan on using it as a middle name for a future daughter. I think it's beautiful and classy.

No Iris isn't a bad character, but she's an abused child so I thought some people might see that as a negative association.

I love it. My friend's granddaughter is Alexandria Iris (thank god she convinced her of that, her daugher initially wanted to name her La Chea, pronounced "lashay.")

Love the song, the flower, the mythological goddess, and the greek meaning. It's a perfect name for so many reasons. :)

i recently found out that Iris is my maternal grandmother's name (i'm adopted..) and thus i love it now :)
