My mother's friend has a new granddaughter- her name is Salem. She was born on Friday the 13th; but, apparently, this name has been picked out since her mother was in high school.

What do you think? My mother loves it.

I think it is alright but it's not something that I would ever use.

It just doesn't sound like a name to me. It sounds like a place or a cultural practice or something.
