Yikes.

"Melrose Place actress Kelly Rutherford, 37, and her businessman husband, Daniel Giersch, 32, welcomed their first child, a son, on Wednesday, Rutherford tells People exclusively.

Hermés Gustaf Daniel Giersch was born at 8 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He weighed 8.5 lbs. and was 22 in. long."

I hope there's a reason for it because I really dislike it.

LOL I know

Maybe they're working the mythology thing, but I still thought of the character out of Futurama.

It's not my style, but I think it works. I definitely like it better than the new-age and/or creative names that celebrities seems to love.

I would be happier if they would call him Gustaf or Daniel though because Hermes is a bit much.

FYI, Hermes is pronounced air-MAYS. Either way the whole name is horrible and pretentious. I'm just assuming that they named him after the leather handbag dynasty and not the Greek god...

It'll be okay if they move to Europe.

I'm thinking it's pronounced the French way (air-mays), not like Her-mees. However, that's almost worse, because in my book it's like being named Chanel, Vuitton or Hilfiger.
