My grammie's name is Isabelle Chase. I think Chase is interesting on a girl, and I might use it someday as a middle name for either sex, undecided on which I like best. Your gender preference for Chase?

I love chase as a boy's FN.

Definitely boy, for me.

I know one of each, but on the boy it's a MN: Eli Chase. The girl is Chase Elizabeth or something like that.

I like it on both, but I prefer it on a boy.

I would think boy usually but I know 2 girls with the name so I think it's one of the ones that's going over to the girl's side.

I like it for a boy. I had my son last week and named him Chase.

As a FN, it's boys only for me, but as MN, I think it's fine for either, especially if it's with a more feminine first name such as your grandmother.

I like it for a boy.

Chase is for a boy DEFINITELY. Are you sure it isn't really your grandmother's maiden name just being used as a middle name?

[identity profile] sarahrose.livejournal.com 2006-10-16 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
First thing I thought.

[identity profile] sarahrose.livejournal.com 2006-10-16 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it's awful for either. So I say neither! It's very white trash to me. It must be some association along the way.

Beyond that, though - boy. For surely.

I don't like it for a boy, but as a middle name for a girl it's just alright to me. I don't love it or anything.

Boy. But it could work on a girl.

[identity profile] elemmennope.livejournal.com 2006-10-16 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I really don't like it on either to be honest. I've heard it on both though. The female was that designer on Trading Spaces a few years ago (is that show still on?)

i love love LOVVEEEE it.

Yikes I don't like Chase for either sex, but if forced to choose, it's DEFINITELY NOT a girls name. It's all boy. I can't imagine being a woman named Chase.

[identity profile] sotypical42483.livejournal.com 2006-10-17 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh and to clarify, I'm talking about FNs. It would be fine as a girls MN to honor your grandmother, I just don't like it as a girls FN.

hmm... i wouldn't use it, because it's not my taste, but it's not a bad name. i think it's more of a boys name, but as a girls middle name it's kind of cute.
