Hi there. I'm new here. I'm not pregnant but I've been deciding on baby names my whole life. My boyfriend of 5+ years's last name is BIRD and I plan on marrying him. So it's been hard to think of names that don't sound horrible with the name "bird". I am very particular about names.. I don't like any names that I've met a person who had that name and didn't like that person. You know what I mean? Like they ruined the name.

Male

I'm absolutely set on one name: Malachi. "Mal-uh-ki" It's a biblical name that I adore.
Jeremiah/Jeremie And I figure if I name a boy Caelen Jeremie we can call him CJ


Female

Oh how I love the name WINTER.. but oh how I absolutely can not use it. It would be perfect if kid's weren't so cruel to other kids about names. Winter Bird.. haha oh man. My boyfriend likes the name summer. I disagree.. Summer Bird is worse than Winter Bird in my opinion.

I like the name Lanour "Luh-nore" but I named my cat that.. I wonder if that matters. If I named a girl Lanour, her middle name would be my first name, Samantha. I'd like to start that tradition. Hopefully she'll have her daughter's middle name be Lanour. You see? Lanour Samantha sounds retarded though. I could give her my middle name: Lanour Marie. See, that's nice.

Hmm not sure about Lanour.
Is the cat still around? Would be a bit confusing to have a baby and cat named the same thing.

Malachi is my second favorite boys name. If I use it I planned on spelling it Malikai. That's just my opinion though. =) I like Lanour Samantha, there's nothing wrong with it at all. If you like the name go for it! And sometimes the middle name doesn't sound the best with the first, but if there's a reason you're using that name (tradition or sentimental purpose) I say go for it anyway. It's not like you use your middle name all the time.
