um, no I wouldn't associate it with what you said... but I would associate it with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, like you have in your icon. *shrugs* I like it but I wouldn't use it, because it's like naming your child Amelie for the french movie or Angelina Jolie or Juniper Pearl after benny and june or something, I feel like. nms
That was the weirdest thing ever.... we JUST finished watching Eternal Sunshine, my parents had never seen it and they were over for the evening, so we decided to pop it in because it's one of my favorites. Then, they leave, I hop online and...... Clementine... randomness man!
Anyhoo.. I really really like it. I don't think I could use it because of the song association, but I do like it a lot. I love the nickname Clem, too.
It reminds me of a hippy who changed her name to it from something really dull and has different coloured dreadlocks, the strange thing is, i dont know anyone like that, its just what pops to mind with that name. Take from that what you want, im not sure if its an insult or a compliment. Neither.
I really like it. It's the middle name of a friend's daughter, and I like the song and the fruit - it's also a variety of rose. I also like the Tom Lehrer version of the song ("herringboxes senza topses sandale per Clementina, si, per Clementine"). :)

Date: 2006-10-15 08:01 pm (UTC)But it's also a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and he had floppy skin, so perhaps not the BEST association.
In the movie they called her Tangerine.
