I need opinions on the following names:

1)Roman
2)Xander
3)Anakin/Anniken
4)Dominic

Roman and Dominic are great names.

Xander is short for Alexander. Also, it's nauseatingly trendy. It's just so cool to have a name that starts with X.

Anakin is a sci-fi character's name. Why not Yoda or Chewbacca?
What in the world is "Anniken"? Is this a way to hide the fact that it's a sci-fi character by using a weird spelling?

So, like I said, Roman and Dominic are great.

I totally agree with all of this.

Also, it's worth noting that Anakin gets called "Annie" all through the films. That might be pretty hard for a boy to handle!

i like Roman and Dominic. Xander doesn't seem like a full name (because it isn't) and i'd DEFINITELY stay away from Anakin. if you like the sound, you could try Annika for a girl.

I LOVE Roman and Dominic. Xander is really good, too, but to me it will always be short for "Alexander." I don't like Anakin, but only because the child will never be able to escape from the Star Wars reference.

Roman - I kinda like this, it's not too popular but it's not too 'out there' either. It sounds really strong too.

Xander - Looks like your trying too hard. I prefer Alexander

1 i love the name Roman since ive met a boy named Roman in France. *great memories* I hope you pronounce the name in French. English way is also nice, but in fench it really sound totally beautiful^^

3 Anniken/Anakin reminds me of the girls name Anniek/Annika. For some reason those names all iriitate me :\

How is Roman pronounced in french?
I met a boy in france too hehe. He's called Max (Maxime) Apparently that's a popular French boys name, pretty feminine to me. I know this as during a months holiday i met 11 different Maxime's O_o The American Aiden perhaps!

My husband HATES Conner, Landon, Teagan, Reid, and Noah, too. We have very different tastes.

I love Spencer too, but it reminds of of the evil Dr.Spencer Truman on One Life to Live.

Roman is from DAYS. Thats where I got it at least.
I didnt know there was a Xander on Buffy. There was one on General Hospital and I loved him.

3)Anakin/Anniken- i havent yet read comments but i'm sure EVERYONE will have said this... starwars!! i think it's far too big a cultural phonomenon to be taken seriously as a baby's name.
4)Dominic- no problem with it, it's fine..
