[identity profile] sherball.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
1)I recently saw this name in another message board that I really hated - Rylee Jean.

Thoughts?

2)My sister has always loved the name Riley, and a friend of hers used the name but spelled it Ryleigh and she thinks it's an awful way of spelling it.

I know a boy and a girl with the name Riley, both spelled that way. I said boy, because it sounds more masculine to me, but I do go both ways on this name. Although I don't LIKE it at all, so I guess I go neither way because I won't consider it. Haha.

I don't HATE Rylee Jean. I like the sound of the combo. It's very South.

I'm not sure if it sounds better on a boy or girl...personally, I think it sounds best on a dog...like a big drooly St. Bernard! (thats what mine was named, it was a boy)

I couldn't decided if I like the name better for a boy or a girl so I left it blank.

I really can't stand the name Riley on a girl. It just sounds too masculine for me.

I have a cat called Rhiley. When I see it without the "h", it looks odd to me. My cat is female.

A friend of mine named her son Riley, so I still see it as masculine.

It's a guilty pleasure name of mine. I like it for a girl spelled Rylie and for a boy spelled Riley.

I like it spelled Reilly, or Riley. I voted for girl because most ambisexual names become girls names, but i like it for both.

you didn't include Reilly in the list of different spellings.

and since it's a last name, I guess it would got for a boy or a girl, depending on what the couple bearing this name happen to give birth to.

I like Rylee Jean, but prefer the spelling "Riley" or "Reilly".

Riley for a boy, Reilly for a girl is how I prefer it, but I think "Riley" works for either.

Riley. I hate all other spellings. I didn't vote on which sex I'd use it for, though, cause I think it's childish and immature sounding on either. If forced to choose, I'd choose a boy.

I like Riley (Reilly is okay too), and I think it is fine for babies of any sex.
