relatives and their names

hello again

I´d like to give my kids a third name...which is related to my parents

but my parents have really..well..old // traditional whatever names

my parents names :

brunhilde roberta

walter roland helmuth

I can´t find any names that I want to use
it should be a modification of it (one of the names)

any suggestions ?
doesn´t matter if for boys or girls

I would be so thankful

I already checked wwww.behindthename.com
but the only names I somewhat like are :

roberta :
ROBIN / ROBYN
HOPKIN
ROBERT

brunhilde: /

walter : /

roland :
ORLANDO

helmuth : /

there must be a modification that I like ...somewhere...

thank u

i don't know if keeping the gneral sound of the name intact is important to you, but you can look up the meanings of the names and try and find a name that has a similar meaning? maybe?

example, btn says brunhilde has two elements, one meaning 'protection' and one meaning 'battle.'

so you could look it up this way...

My first thought was Hilde (from Brunhilde) although I don't know if that's pronounced similarly or not. (I'm thinking of the designer from Trading Spaces if that rings any bells- it's like hill-dee)

I think Roland and/or Walter would be very nice, strong MNs for a boy if you wanted to honor him that way.

Brynja is Icelandic, and I believe (although I'm not certain) that it has the same root in Old Norse as the Brun- part of Brunhilde.

Ahh, what's wrong with Roland?! It's one of my favorite boy names. :)
