Felicity nn Flicka

Yeah, I stole the nickname from Flicka Huffman, but what do you think about the name Felicity with the nn Flicka? Felicity is now in my top ten with the middle name Soleil.

Makes me think of a horse.

I prefer Felicia over Felicity

And I don't care much for Flicka

Yes, Flicka works as nickname for Felicity. I don't LIKE it, but if you do, great!

I do like Felicity. I don't like the nickname Flicka, but I could see how someone would derive it from the name Felicity. The whole "flick" part just reminds me of flicking boogers-- can you tell I work with preschoolers? =)

I have met I think two Felicitys who go by Flick. So obviously I can see Flicka working for it. Felicity Soleil is lovely

It makes sense, but I don't like it at all. Felicity is one of my favorite names too and I don't understand why you'd want such a harsh sounding NN for it.

I'm not crazy about Flicka bc of the horse thing, but I did know a Felicia who was called Flick so it makes sense to me. and I think it's kind of cute for a little kid.

I love Felicity (it's in my top 10, too) but I really don't like Flicka. This is the first I've heard of Flicka/Flick being a nickname for Felicity. I don't like it at all.

I love Flicka! Another interesting nn for Felicity is "Flossie."

I love both Felicity and Soleil, but I dont think they go well together.

I can understand how you are tempted by that nn, being a Flicka (Huffman) fan myself. But unfortunately most of the rest of the world associates Flicka with a horse. :\ Sucks, doesn't it?

P.S. I love that you are using my icon. hehe :)

No. Sounds like Flickr and even if Flickr wasn't/isn't around, it sounds like you're British or Bostonian and trying to say Flicker. Either way, too close to flick or flicker. I don't even know how that became a nick for that name to begin with.

I love the name Felicity, but to me Flicka sounds weird. Flicka is Swedish for girl so that's all I think when I hear the name, though I guess that's not exactly bad.

I have to agree with some of the other commenters, Flicka sounds very like to flicker.
