I don't remember seeing this posted, but if I'm wrong I'll delete it.

Anna Nicole Smith's daughter is named Dannie Lynn Hope.

I'm sure it's in memory of her dead son Daniel so I feel guilty thinking...things about the name.

I feel bad too to think of any about the name. But when I saw it I just thought to myself. Why would they do that. Every time they say or think of her name it's just going to remind her of her son daniel that died. Of course it's dannie lynn HOPE so I understand what they were trying to do with adding hope to it but still. I guess to me it would make me sad to do that.

If I were the daughter I could imagine being kind of weirded that I had the name of a dead brother I never knew.

Exactly. I think that would kind of play into her identity as she grows up. Like she'll kind of be in his shadows cuz she has her dead brother's name. I don't know.

It's Dannie Lynn Hope (not Dannielynn).

If it was myself in the same circumstance I would've kept the original name for the baby (Hannah) and used "Danielle" as a middle name tribute... I think the first name is a bit much. Plus, Hannah Danielle is really nice IMO.

I guess the article had a typo then :/ Though it doesn't really make it better. Hannah Danielle would most definately have been better, and not so Daniel-centric

Dannie Lynn Hope isn't as bad as Dannilynn Hope, so I hope it's the former. It's not the best name evar!, but it has significance, and it's not Audio Inspektor or anything, so I'm inclined to think it's a good thing. Hope is such a sweet mn, too.

I do agree with Grypx a bit, though. MN Danielle might have been a better choice, in the end. I worry this kid will grow up being defined by the brother she never knew.

I feel so bad for her. Her original name was Hannah and then her brother died and she was renamed to replace him (you can say 'tribute' all you want, but I won't believe it). If I was her I would not want to go by Dannie and would consider Hannah my 'real' name.

It's...okay, I understand why she named her that.

But if she wanted to honor Daniel, she should of just called her Danielle I personally think that would of been way better the Dannie Lynn, don't you think?
