I don't like it because it reminds me of the french word "ramoneur" which means chimney sweep. It is much better than some of the celebrity baby names though...
It's hard to separate the name from the very strong association. But I think it would probably be great once I knew a real person with the name. It has a lot of great qualities going for it. I think it's a nice choice.
Congratulations to them, but i really really hate that name. I hope the baby doesnt have a double barrel name! Ramona Gyllenhaal-Sarsgaard is a mouthful.
I love it. partly because of (in spite of?) teh Ramona Quimby association. I'd be tempted to use it myself but I already have an Amelia (who is associated with Amelia Bedelia) so two pseudo children's lit derived names, eh, maybe too much.
