How would you guys pronounce the name Rhea?

yeah it makes a huge difference! Which is why I asked. I'm in the US and beer rhymes with ear, near, peer, etc. not with ree-uh! :)

I'm in the UK, but I don't say beer like bee-uh. I say it as one syllable, rhyming with ear, rear, peer etc!!

it's probably because in most of the UK (like here in Australia) the "r" at the end of words isn't pronounced

I have heard it pronounced Ray, too. But Ray more when it is a last name and Ree-ah when more it is the first name.

ray b/c the actress/comedian Carolina Rhea pronounces her last name that way and it's the only exposure i've had to it

I would pronounce it like the rhea in diarrhea, and the only Rhea I've met pronounced it that way too.

There's a character in Solaris called Rheya, that might be more what you're looking for.
