First off, our last name is Young.
We have a 4 month old named Aedan Michael.
We're expecting baby number two late May.

With my son being cursed with the initials that spell AMY, we're trying to be careful this time.

My husband is full of names and I like only a few.

My boy's list
1. Piers Anthony (My favorite Author)

My girl's list
1. Imogen
2. Gwendolyn
3. Faolin
(Any ideas for middle names?)

His boy's list
1. Ethan Dimitri
2. Gunner Odis

His girl's list
1. Cadance
2. Liberty
3. America
4. Aurora
5. Trinity
6. Pheobe
7. Jennafer
8. Isis

I'm not into most of the motto names he's suggested, Cadance, I don't mind so much but america? I think he's crazy. I like Ethan, but I think it sounds too much like Aedan..

Thoughts? Middle name suggestions?

Imogen was my #1 but the boy hates it, because there is an Australian model called Imogen Bailey and I think she's a topless model or something.

I really like Ethan, but hate Gunner. I really like Candace (but I prefer it spelt Candice) and I also like Triniy.

Really dislike the spelling of Jennafer, and hate Pheobe if that spelling is intentional and not just a typo...

I don't think Aedan and Ethan are too similar at all! They'd be a great sibset. I love all of your choices, but am a bit iffy on your husband's (particularly the noun names, which are a bit... strippery? maybe? They're borderline, anyway). Isis and Aurora are quite nice. I'd love to see Gunnar instead of Gunner, as Gunner looks like... well, "gunner." How do you pronounce Faolin?

Cadence is my #1 girls name. I love love love it, but I dont like Cadance-- it changes the pronunciation to me. den vs dan... noticeable difference. If it's alternate spellings your husband likes, Caydence or Kaydence or even Kadence are what I would consider decent alternatives.

1. Piers Anthony - never heard of him. Is that his full name? If so, I think it's very pretentious and self-indulgent to name your child after YOUR favorite author. Pierce would be tolerable, I guess. Piers looks dumb.

America and Liberty seem way too pretentiously "patriotic." Candance, Pheobe and Jennafer? Ew. Spell their names normally for god's sake. Aurora, Trinity and Isis are pretty. I like Imogen a lot. Gwendolyn I've never liked for no real reason, and I don't know how to pronounce Faolin. I don't like Gunner, but Ethan Dimitri is a nice name. And I don't think it sounds too much like Aedan.
