(no subject)

I'm not considering this name for anything, but I'd just like to hear what you guys think:

Snow

for a girl. One of my favourite book's main character has this name and I'm interested to see what you guys think of it.

I actually really like it, but I would probably stick to a MN (or NN somehow) only.

What book?

I had a friend back in high school who had the last name Snow. I always thought it was a cool last name.

But probably not something I'd choose as a fn. It's a bit flakey. Hahahaha... pun intended.

hahhahha.

I would totally use it for a middle name, though.

Probably not though, since i'm using Autumn already... people might think I was obsessed with weather and seasons... lol

Autumn Snow!! If your daughter comes unexpectedly early!!!

hahahahhaha

My daughter would HATE me. lol

When I was a young teen, I knew a girl who wanted to use the name Summer Snow. Winter Snow would be horrific, but Summer Snow? There were no words.

hahahha it sounds like a pornstar name.

Serious guilty pleasure. Maybe as a middle name. Maaaaaybe.

(True story: I love the name Bianca Snow. As in... WHITE SNOW! Most embarrassing onomastic fact on turabiannights. I wish it weren't true.)

[identity profile] turabiannights.livejournal.com 2006-10-02 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Noooo, don't do it! Once you start liking a ridiculous name, it's impossible to stop. I am exhibit A with Bianca Snow here!!

Seriously though, middle name at best. As a first name, it really would be a lot like Truck. Or like a crystallized Rain. Which is a bit trashy.

As a first name, absolutely not. As a middle name, maybe...if you REAAAALLY love it.

I agree with everyone else. It's okay as a GP middle name, but a bit too much for a first name.

snow is on my list for middle names, for a boy.

[identity profile] neuraltube.livejournal.com 2006-10-02 08:06 am (UTC)(link)
I rather like it, but better as a middle name. As a first name, her nickname would be Snowy.

its a guilty pleasure of mine. anything to do with the winter and autumnal seasons carry a little bit of magic in my heart.

If it didn't have the nature connotation, I'd like it.

I've met someone named Jessica-Snow (sisters were, I think, Jasmine-Sky and Jennifer-Sunset, yes, the parents were hippies) and she went by Snow. I'm not a huge fan.
