When my husband and I were pregnant the last time around, we had two names - depending on what sex the baby was. We had Simon Winston last October. That means that, now that we're pregnant again, we're down a boy name. No names are sticking to my soul like Simon did. What's a good (read: not trendy) name if our next babe is a boy?

Linus Daniel. Daniel is my husband's name. We are trying again right now (unfortunately, Linus was still born :( , so the perfect name has 40 weeks to pop into my head. Maybe it will be Calvin Laurence, but I just have this feeling that something even more exciting will come up!

Henry and Oliver are the only boy names we can think of that we agree on. Unfortunately my mother and sister do not like them. Oliver I'm just a little concerned about because in my head, with the last name, it sounds like "all over brown."

I've said it once today but I'll say it again, boy names are really damn hard to pick out.

Joseph was on the top of our list with Simon until his mom said she refused to call him Joseph and would only call him Joey. I am not a fan of Joey. :/

Well, earlier in the week I mentioned Ollie. And I said "He'd be a rad skateboarder then!" (just to try to convince my wanna-be-hipster husband ;)) and he AGREED! So we could name him Oliver and call him Ollie. :) Did your brother go by Ollie or always Oliver? And does he LIKE his name?

Most of the time he'd go by Oliver, but his friends would sometimes call him Oli (spelt O-L-I, for us, anyway) and that would be about... 40% of the time.

He LOVES his name. And basically everyone who meets him goes, "...Oliver? Oh, well, what a wonderful name!"
