Lolita means Ruby in indian
Rajit- m. name means brilliant in indian "Ra-jitt"
Geet- means melody in indian. Geeta... unfortunatly its way too easy to turn that into geek..
Indira- bestower of wealth
Kala- art
Ganika- flower
Tara star
Ananda- spiritual bliss
Aloki- Brightness
Keyuri- amulet
Jack- most popular name in england 10 yrs running, Jack Andrew C. init. would also spell jac. *shrugs*
Kalavati- one who is artistic
Kalini flower
Pariyat- flower
(Elspeth and Moria.Obviously witches names in a book of Magick stuff in Andy's rooooom.)

Kalavati reminds me of Kalamata olives. LOL

But I gurantee that unless little Lolita is growing up in India, people aren't going to buy "it's indian for ruby!!" and instead think of the famous disturbing book.
I actually really like Dorothy and Tara, although since I found Tara listed as an indian name somewhere, I doubt I'm pronouncing it the same way. LOL

Moria I will forever associate with Tolkien. And since it's not a particularly nice place in Tolkien's books, I don't think I'd want to name a child that.
