I think in German when there are two vowels together, the second vowel is "long." Usually.

"Deiter" would be pronounced "Die-ter."

My ex-boyfriend's nickname at work was Talan because of that show. Still one of my favorite names.

And Alexandria is my sisters name. My all time favorite girls name.
