[identity profile] sotypical42483.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I feel like a lot of the names i like are too trendy or becoming too trendy. I was wondering if you guys could think of any names that have a similar "feel" as some of the ones on my list... for example, I adore the names Julian and Adrian which I think are rather similar, then someone asked about Dorian and I loved that as well. Anyway, on with some of the names :)

Arielle - well, I don't find this to be too common, but the LM association is rather strong for me, no matter what the spelling
Audrey
Avery - I love this even though it's traditionally a boys name... but knowing its a boys name WOULD keep me from using it, so I need alternatives!
Emily
Kelly
Kiara
Lauren
Libby - I would never use this as a fullname, only a nn, any names other than Elisabeth you think would work as a fn?
Lila
Lucy (Lux)
Madeleine
Marissa

Adrian
Caleb
Julian
Lucas
Marcus
Nicholas

Thanks for any suggestions :) I just feel like my taste is so COMMON and I want to know if I'm missing out on any great names! I'm sure I am!

Two "A" names that I love are Aurora and Aurelia/Aurelie.

It might be a stretch but maybe Libby could be a nickname for Olivia? (Although Olivia is super popular these days, too,...)

Avriana (avrey-ah-nuh), it's a guilty pleasure of mine!
And maybe instead of Lila maybe you could use Lilia ?
I can't think of any names apart from Elizabeth that Libby would work for, apart from Liberty but i'm not too fond of it.
GL!

I say Ariel (LM) differently to Arielle. I love them both, LM thing doesnt bother me. What about Aurielle? rather than Air-iel it's Or-iel? French spell it Oriel, phonetically, but i prefer the A version. I adore Aurelia too.

Avery- Avalon, Avalyn/Evelyn, Emery? I know they're kind of trendy too but they are girls names.

Marissa- Clarissa, i bit more classic, less Americanised. (though i love marissa)

Lila- Lilia is a less common version (at least i dont hear it) to Lila/a

I'm rubbish with boys names, but i like most of your list so i'll give you my top :-)

I know a girl named Arielle and I've NEVER thought about the little mermaid when talking to her! but i understand the hesitation.

unfortunately this was too tricky for me to come up with any other ones so i'll just vote on other ones i like from other posters!

Aurora
Carlie (my name!)
Gabrielle, Gabriela
Sebastian

maybe Adriana or Alessandra? they are feminine without being ridiculously popular
I like Kira more than Kiara, i just find it cuter

also maybe....Dahlia?
