The first name my husband has offered up is Anastasia. I love "Ana" and "Stacey" as nicknames, but I am unsure of the full name.

I like it. I used to read Anastasia Krumpnik books when I was a kid, loved them! She hated her name, though. ;) I have an Evelynn and we call her Evie. Not many people actually know her name is Evelynn and are kinda surprised when they hear me call her that, because I don't do it very often. So if you like the nick names and he likes the name, no one has to ever really call her Anastasia.

Did she have a green notebook that she kept and wrote lots of lists in?

I think Anastasia is a beautiful name. Not big on nicknames for it.

I have posted about this los of times...
Anastasia is a fabulous name, as is Ana but Stacy is the worlds wost name in my opinion. Suh a chavtastic common ugly name, ruins Anastasia for me, the mere possibility that my daughter could be saddled with a nickname.
(urgh i am such a snob sometimes!)
Anyway, i say go for it if you like the nicknames, and i have to say congratulations to your husband for offering up such a diamond, the most exotic mine came up with was 'ellie' heh.

Anastasia is lovely. I would never reduce it to Stacey though.

I used to read those books too....she had a little brother who was ridiculously smart...

I've just never liked that name. I love Ana on its own

I love Anastasia. It's my grandmother's name and two of my friends names.

My grandmother went by Ann, my one friend goes by Stazie (STAH-zee) and my other friend goes by Stoss. Other possible nicknames are Ana, Anna, Stasia, Stacia, Stacie, and Asia.

I LOVE Anastacia. I hate the nn Anna, though. Stacey is okay. I would probably just use the full name or if I wanted to shorten it somehow, Stacia, or Tay (as suggested by another person a while back!)
