I think I'm beginning to like this girls' name a lot, though it's only in one name book I own. WDYT of Fontane?

I'm not a lover of too many F names besides Freja...well, I do like Fiorella (Fiorello for a boy), Fern & Florence. Until I thought of this one.

Now, which spelling do you prefer? (Or suggest something else?) I like both, but I’d vote for the -tane one myself. Not sure why…I only like Raine, for instance, spelled this way. Ah, well.

Yep, it definitely made me think of him and a few other people with the last name. I don't normally like "surnamey" names, but this is an exception...
according to the book it's a French girls name meaning 'source of water' or something like that. Like, fountain.
I like the sound of it, personally..

I figured most people wouldn't like it; gee, I was right. .__. And the spelling poll-wow! I'm outnumbered on this one. XD Oh well. It's very unusual. I wouldn't actually have thought it to be my style either, 'til I started thinking about it for a while.

It sounds pretty but it makes me think of "fountain" and then I imagine it being the brand name of a chocolate fountain. It also somehow reminds me of Pantene, although it's nothing alike!

Yeah, I do think it has a prettiness to it...
and I like fountains, so maybe it just naturally puts nice thoughts in my head or something. xD Aside from a positive association I have with someone's 'la fontaine' surname (I think that's how he spells it..) and a few other weird associations that make me like it.
