Laurel was/is on our short-list.

From your list, I like Laurel Mae Kirby. Simple, feminine, not too popular! Ta da! I just named your baby! :)

On my list: Charlie, Leila, Madeline, Sophia, and I have Margaux ( I don't like the spelling Margot at all)

You've got half my short list on there. =P

Helena - Love it, but prefer He-LAY-na. Mostly because that's how we usually hear it, but also because we're pretty set on Serena for girl #1 and that's too rhymey.

Corinna - LOVE, but hubby prefers Serena so it's been vetoed because of the rhyming thing again.

Audrey - His grandmother's name; we like it as a MN for Helena.

I also really like Adriana (I'd be seriously considering it if it were less popular) and Carina.

I really can't stand-
Addison (boy's name to me)
Billie (but it'd be find as a MN tribute)
Brynn (It just looks so trendy and doesn't sound very nice)
Cameron (boy's name and the meaning sucks as well)
Charlie (cute as a NN for Charlotte, horrible as a given name... I don't even like it as a given on a boy)
Reese (I like it spelled Rhys, but only on a boy)

[identity profile] anapology.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I dont think Amelia is THAT popular... it's a popular classic anyway, not a MacKenzie type trendy name..
I love

Adriana- reminds me of spiders
Laila- blah, wishy washy
Arden- reminds me of Hardon, erection
Sophia- like a lot.
Aurora- heyyy i'd use it anyway, its gorgeous.
