Seeing as it's my name, Caroline. Though I do like the spanish pronunciation of Carolina (Cah-ro-lee-na).

That depends on pronunciation. If Carolina is care-uh-leen-uh and not care-uh-line-uh then I like Carolina. Otherwise, I like Caroline.

same here.. it's on my long list for right now.. I'm tempted to spell it Carolena just so people pronounce it correctly.. but I don't think it looks as nice spelled that way.. hrm.

I would pronounce that Care-uh-lehn-uh, only because I knew a Lena who's name was pronounced Lehn-uh.

I think it sounds very pretty that way as well. I just don't like it pronounced like the state.. for a name anyways. :)

i think carolina can be kind of confusing. some pronounce it caro-LEEN-uh, while some pronounce it caro-LYNE-uh.

Caroline can be that way too, though. Either care-oh-lin or care-oh-line.

oh i love both. my name is caroline, but i have friends who call me carolina (like the state) and i simply ADORE when i meet someone spanish speaking (my friends wife, for example, who is from costa rica) and she says my name... care-oh-leen-ah ...just makes my heart melt. i adore it.

Caroline. I generally think adding an -a on the end of classic names sounds like you are trying to be more pretentious than you are.
