I've always like Ellie, Alexandra too.

Angus has been popular in Australia for last 10 years so I know 6 young Gus's, as much as I adore August (my #1 boys name) I dont find Gus inspiring.

Gus is actually my kid :) His first name is really August. Both August and Gus are fairly uncommon, though definitely not unheard of, in the U.S.

Sire.... ha... it's to address a male of rank (like a king or lord) or a male dog (that's used for breeding).


I really like most of these names though.

I asked my kid and he said Sire pronounces her name SEER-ah. There's a lot of foreign kids in his class, so I'm not sure where this particular name comes from.

But yeah, my first thought on that was Sire, pronounced Sigh-er.
