Here are the names of the Brownies in my pack. They are all girls aged 7-9 in a fairly middle class area in England. I have also included the names of their siblings where I know them, as I know many of you are interesting in that kind of thing too.

Pretty names. I love all of them aside for Caitlin (although I love her siblings' names!), Ebony, Jasmine, and Jessica. Amelia is particularly lovely. And I love the name Verity. I knew the prettiest girl named Verity once.

It's funny how asociations affect your opinion on a name. I knew a very odd Verity and so because that association was so strong I hated the name. But having gotten to know this Verity I think I like the name a bit. I just can't get rid of the bad association!

Are Rosie and Milly full names? I'd love to know the full names if you know them, being a Rosie myself.

Pearl and Ebony is...interesting. I can't decide if I like the whole theme and contradiction thing they've got going (stone/gem, black and white).

I like Amelia, William and Theo as a sibset--nicely thought out.

I'm pretty sure both Rosie and Milly and the full names. It's become quite popular in the last few years. To me, though, they don't sound complete. Also, I can't imagine a woman called Milly, or even a teenager.

I like Ebony but Pearl just doesn't feel like a name to me. I know what you mean though, I can't decide if I like the theme/contradiction thing either.

I agree, I like the Amelia, William and Theo sibset too. Such lovely names and they go so well together.

I agree about the sibset thing, but i do prefer Annabel, Caitlin & Elliot. I wouldnt mind naming my children those names :-)

I think Pearl and Ebony have really strong connotations for me. Pearl reminds me of a girl I went to HS with and old ladies who wear pulled wool sweaters with embroiered beads on the shoulders (lol). Ebony seems like the name of an exotic model who looks really good in bright orange. hehe.

My grandma's name is Mildred, and she's gone by Milly her whole life. It works for her.

i love amelia, amy, bethany, chloe (although DH would never ever consent to me using it), jasmine, jessica, katy and rosie. oh, and milly, jake and theo. not that it's obvious that i'm english ;)

I love the name Hatty. I used to babysit for a girl with the name but she spells it Hattie.

Ebony and Pearl? haha.

I really like Genevieve, Juliet(te -- I'd leave it off, though), Milly, Abby <33 and Amelia. Not bad!

I think it's a nickname for Harriet.

I DESPISE the name Abigail. I think it is the ugliest name ever, that and Wolfgang.

makes me wonder if the have a son, if the will name him grey o_O

pearl is such an old woman name and so is hatty, i really don't like it at all. i used to like the name ebony but it seems so...i dunno, uncultured or something. too tacky.

i like the spelling 'katy'. and i can't decide if i like elliott better with one or two t's.
