What do you think of the following names?

Caoimhe (pronounced Keeva)
Aoife (pronounced Eefa)
Amahle

They all mean 'beautiful' in Gaelic and Zulu. My first daughters name is Beau so I'm trying to go along with that theme. Well I wasn't originally, but after seeing these names I'm on that track. Any other suggestions on "beautiful" names? Other then Bella.

Middle name locked in as Persephone (per-seff-o-nie).

I think the child will spend their life entire life hearing "how do you pronounce this"

Out of these I like Caoimhe the most.

May I suggest Niamh
It's old Irish and means brightness and beauty.
Pronounced Neev

I wouldn't use any of them- they're too hard to pronounce.

I like Callie meaning 'beautiful' :)

I wouldn't use such strong Gaelic names myself unless I lived in Ireland, personally. But I like the Neeva idea, rather than the Gaelic spelling.

I love both Caoimhe and Aoife, love how they both sound with Persophone and as a sibset with Beau :)

Anwen and Eirian are Welsh names that mean beautiful and I love them both

How is Eirian pronounced? I've always wondered.

I like all those names, but agree that they are tricky to spell. Some more names that mean/can mean beautiful:

Callista
Frida
Linda (and names related to it, like Belinda, Rosalind, etc.)
Nava
Mei
Orabela
Zuri

I like them all, particularly Caoimhe. If you're in Ireland it shouldn't be a problem, but if you're in the US or elsewhere, you (and eventually she) will have to do a lot of spelling/pronouncing.

I had a teacher whose first name was Bonita, and I always loved that :)

I vote Keeva Persephone. It's spunky and different, but the anglicized spelling makes it more approachable/pronounceable/spellable in the US. I really like the feeling of energy I get from the name. It's lively. Keeva is a brilliant emerald green to me, whereas Caoimhe is yellow and seems a bit watered down next to the brightness of Keeva.

The think Beau and Keeva work pretty well together too.

I like these suggestions. And definitely go with an anglicized spelling (she'll thank you later).

I absoutely love Persephone. I wanted it for my daughter and our surname begins with P so it would have ahd a lovely and memorable ring to it, but hubby wouldn't budge.

From your options I'd go with Aoife because it's pronounciation sounds so cute :)

I adore Caoimhe, and would use it in a heartbeat if my husband would ever consent to name a child something he can't automatically guess the spelling of, LOL. I also have always had a soft spot in my heart for Aoife, but as others have said would go with the Keeva spelling since you're in the US. Jolie means beautiful/pretty in French, and I think that name would be a lovely sib set with your other daughter. :)

I like both Caoimhe and Aoife on apperances, but I prefer Caoimhe on pronunciation, and think it sounds really nice with Persephone.
