[identity profile] hayleyhaha15.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Over Christmas break while my older sister was visiting we randomly got to thinking about baby names for her future children and I kind of love them so I just wanted to know what you guys thought.

My sister, Lindsey and my brother-in-law Jeffrey, already have a child and her name is Charley Rae!

When my sister was pregnant with Charley, her name was going to be Wesson Gordon (if she was a boy), but I don't know if they still would use it for a future son.

So the two future baby names are:

Cora(h) Belle (not sure on the spelling for Cora)

Jack Dallen (Dallen would be pronounced like Day-Lynn)*

*They are thinking Jack Dallen because Jeff is a third generation JDS (Jeffrey Dennis S.) and his dad's name is Jack.

WDYT??

I love Cora! Wesson reminds me of cooking oil. :/ Love Jack, but the day-lynn prn of Dallen strikes me as very feminine. I'd like it better prn like Allen, but with a D in front.

I agree with all of this. There's plenty of lovely D names to use as the middle - I myself have a Duncan and it's unusual and he's always the only one in class.

Not a name I'd use myself but I think I've always liked Charley/ Charli/Charlie for girls.

Cora is lovely, its rising in popularity for good reason. It compliments Charley nicely without being matchy.

The idea of sharing initials is sweet, Jack is always a great name. I thought it was Dal-len as lovetokate said, but as a middle name it not a big issue, not really used much.
