Waited on a couple today with two daughters: Isis and Americis. I imagine that's a fairly awkward pairing these days.

One of our cats is Isis. We had two cats before her named Pharaoh and Ba`ast (BAY ost) so Isis fit. We call her Icie now.

I like name Isis and Americis. Both are strong female names.

Oh yeah that is an unfortunate combination for current times.

I was really pleased some Australian parents with 5yo called Isis started a successful campaign so the media here uses the term ISIL or Islamic State instead.

It a terrible association considering before just a few years ago it was the Goddess that everyone thought of, but I still like it.
