It probably isn't a surprise to anyone, but there's a new Duggar baby.

Jessa Seewald and her husband, Ben, welcomed a baby boy last week named Spurgeon Elliot. Spurgeon is named after Charles Spurgeon, a 19th century Baptist preacher.

I think it's such a strange name, and reminds me a lot of sturgeon, obviously, but I kind of like that it's so out there and different, even though it's not a name I would ever use.

WDYT?

I hate it. Maybe reversing the names would make it somewhat redeemable, but why not Charles?

That's what I thought, too. It just really makes me think of a sturgeon. A cold, wet, slimy fish.

I think it's hideous. Nothing about it sounds appealing.

I can picture the nickname Spermy

I don't like it, at all. Elliot Spurgeon or Charles Elliot would have been way better.

Best responses I read:

Well it's proof he was "Sperm from a virgin"

Maybe he should become a specialty marine veterinarian so he can be Spurgeon the sturgeon surgeon.
