babynamesI was reading Vanity Fair this morning and saw a headline about the name of Zooey Deschanel's daughter, whose name has been released: Elsie Otter.
In an interview, she said “We just really liked the name Elsie and then we both love otters — they’re very sweet and they’re also smart. They use tools … they hold hands while they sleep, there’s so many amazing things about otters. They’re wonderful animals.”
And in case you didn't know, Zooey herself was named after Zooey Glass, from JD Salinger's Franny and Zooey (Zooey is a guy in that story).
