Leighton Meester and Adam Brody named their new baby Arlo Day. It's a girl. o.O

It's a bit trendy but I think it works fine as a unisex name, I've seen it at least twice on girls in birth notices this yr.

I much prefer Arlo to Marlowe

All I can think of is the folk singer, Arlo Guthrie. I liked some of his songs, but not enough to name my daughter after him. :/

Could be worse. I love them both though so I had higher hopes.

Oh, it could definitely be worse. But I'll be happier when people start using traditional female names on boys as well as using traditionally male names on girls. Just throw all the names in a big pot and then pick the one you like, regardless of the sex of your baby.

It's like Harlow missing half the letters

I like Harlow(e) much better because it reminds me of Jean Harlowe, the late movie actress. It also sounds much better to me than Arlo.

I think I like it quite a bit. Not as something I would ever use, but I think it suits their style.

I don't know them well enough to know what would suit their style. I just know I don't like it for a girl. For me, I don't really like it all that much for a boy. But it's not my kid, so I don't get a vote. :)
